Every resting place has a story to tell

Welcome to LastingEcho, where memories outlast time. We bridge the gap between physical resting places and life stories, transforming quiet monuments into living tributes. LastingEcho creates echo videos and QR-linked tribute pages for departed loved ones, connected to a physical QR plaque placed at the resting place.

  1. 1
    Upload photos & memories

From the uploaded or scanned paper photos and information you provide, we create a "Life Echo Video"—a short legacy film and an Echo Page commemorating your departed loved one's journey.

  2. 2
Receive your QR plaque and/or the Life Echo Memory Card.

Anyone can view the memorial videos on a smartphone right at the resting place — whether the plaque is placed on a tombstone or the framed card is set next to an urn. The Life Echo Video and Life Echo Page can also be viewed online from anywhere in the world through the Digital Hall of Echoes section of our website ensuring you can honor their memory even if the ashes were scattered.

  3. 3
    Control who can see it

The Legacy Guardian—the person creating the echo—has the option to make the video accessible to everyone, the same way as one can see what's written on a grave when walking in a cemetery. Alternatively, if so decided, the video can be seen only by those who were explicitly granted access by the Legacy Guardian.

The Hall of Echoes, our digital graveyard where the Echo Pages and the Life Echo Videos are placed, can be visited, browsed, and searched by the public just like walking through a physical cemetery, but the Legacy Guardian can always decide to restrict access to the echo page and video to only those with whom they have shared the link.

  4. 4
    Visit the Hall of Echoes

Our service also provides the possibility to pay our respects to the deceased through lighting a "virtual candle" at the Echo Page of the departed loved one in the Digital Hall of Echoes.

Here, visitors can also leave messages in the condolence book, which are only published once the Legacy Guardian approves them.

Each life is a story. Let theirs have a lasting echo

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Echo?

An Echo is a living tribute — a portal to remember the voice, story and spirit of someone you love, keep them alive beyond their lifetime and share a glimpse of what made them special. More than an obituary, it is a curated space where memories, photographs, and personal tributes come together so a life can be revisited, and felt by anyone who loved them.

Every Echo comes with a physical QR plaque — a small, weatherproof marker placed at the grave or a place of meaning. Visitors simply scan the code with their phone's camera, and the Echo opens instantly: no app needed, no login required. A stranger at a graveside can get a glimpse into the life behind the name. A grandchild born years from now can feel a little closer to someone they never got to meet.

What is the Hall of Echoes?

The Hall of Echoes is our shared remembrance space — a place where Echoes are gathered and honoured together. Browse stories of lives lived, discover the people behind the names, and add your own light to a community built on love and remembrance.

How do I create an Echo?

Creating an Echo walks you through four simple steps:

  1. Name & dates — Enter your loved one's name, date of birth, date of death, and place of rest.
  2. Upload photos — Add up to ten photographs. You can drag to reorder them.
  3. Choose music — Pick a background soundtrack from our curated selection.
  4. Tell their story — Answer five simple prompts about their life. Your words become the closing tribute in their video.
How do I light a candle?

Lighting a candle is a quiet act of remembrance. Visit any Echo, find the candle on the echo, and click to light it. Your flame joins others already burning — a small, lasting gesture that says: I remember. I am here.

Can LastingEcho help with healing?

Grief has no timeline, and healing rarely follows one either. LastingEcho gives you a place to return to — somewhere the love does not have to end. Whether you visit an Echo to remember, share a memory with family, or simply sit with someone's story, we believe that keeping a person's light alive is part of how we carry on.
